Official Chrome instructions ↗

Need a hand?

Chrome cannot find the manifest

Fully extract the ZIP, then choose the folder containing manifest.json. Do not select the manifest.json file itself.

The button does not appear on LinkedIn

Check that the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions, reload LinkedIn and check the button setting. Collection requires a signed-in LinkedIn session.

Why these permissions?

LinkedIn access reads authorized profiles and conversations. Storage keeps local data; alarms schedule cycles; network observation detects messaging activity without reading response bodies. Additional access is requested when connecting your tool or connector. In direct mode, API credentials remain in local extension storage.

How do I update?

Export data you want to keep and pause operations first. Extract the new version, replace the files in the same folder and click Reload on the Social Bridge card in chrome://extensions. Then reload LinkedIn. Do not remove the extension to update it.

How do I disable or remove it?

Disable Social Bridge in chrome://extensions to stop it, or click Remove to uninstall it and remove its local storage. Export anything you need first. Data already sent to your CRM is not deleted; revoke the API key in your tool if needed.

How do updates work?

The extension checks social-bridge.io roughly every 12 hours. You can disable automatic checks in settings. Signed compatibility parameters apply automatically; code changes require downloading the new ZIP and reloading the extension. Checks send no profiles, messages, cookies or user identifiers; the hosting provider can see your IP.
